IMSA's WeatherTech SportsCar Championship returns to WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca from Friday, April 30, to Sunday, May 2, 2027. It is one of the track's big spring weekends, with prototypes and GT cars racing on the same circuit.
Why Laguna Seca
The track's signature corner, the Corkscrew, drops steeply through a blind left-right turn. Find a spot on the hillside there at least once during the weekend. The views across the hills are part of the experience.
Planning your weekend
- Check imsa.com (https://www.imsa.com/events/2027-weathertech-raceway-laguna-seca/) for the schedule and the track site (https://www.weathertechraceway.com/) for tickets and parking.
- Friday practice is usually quieter, a good time to explore the paddock and find your favorite viewing spots.
- Bring sun protection, a warm layer, and comfortable shoes. The circuit is hilly.
Getting there from Pacific Inn
The track is about 15 minutes away on Highway 68. On race mornings, traffic backs up near the entrance, so leave early. North Fremont Street puts you on the Highway 68 side of Monterey, so you skip downtown traffic both ways.
After the race
- Grab dinner close to the hotel. Restaurants are within walking distance of Pacific Inn.
- On Sunday morning before the race, walk Monterey State Beach or the Coastal Trail.
